setting boundaries
Do you ever catch yourself thinking about your business during your free time?
As an entrepreneur, you can fall into the trap of completely integrating your business into your personal life. This can cause burnout, resentment, and a whole lot of confusion.
It’s time to set some boundaries with your clients as well as with yourself. One of the benefits of having an alternative job is that you get to call the shots. Here are some tips to help you come into right relations with your business.
Setting boundaries with others:
‣ Set your expectations from the beginning
‣ When someone asks you to do a task that you either aren't comfortable doing, don't offer as a service, or have no desire to do, say no.
Setting boundaries with yourself:
‣ Get out of the habit of being on call 24/7. Let your clients know when you will be available.
‣ Know when to put the phone down, aka stop responding to emails in the middle of the night.
Start to think about what changes you can make TODAY to feel like you have a little more wiggle room in your business.
